“Planning is bringing the future into the present so you can do something about it now.”
- Alan Lakein
(author, writes about time management)
I like this quotation. Over the past few weeks, I’ve been starting to feel more and more like planning … it’s just over a year since I graduated with my BA, and so I’m starting to think/pray seriously about the next step (and indeed, the game plan). What might that be? What do I need to do to get there?
The rest of this academic year is mapped out, with my current study and part time job, at least until the end of July or so. Which means that now is the ideal time to be thinking/dreaming/figuring out what the goal is, and thence what to do in the next few months – job applications, updating my CV, making sure I gain experience in any areas I’m weak in … I have some ideas about what I want to do, but they need developing and refining. How does one turn vague thoughts into dreams into reality?
